    PROJECT DETAILS

Logo design for sludge-rock band, Black Sugar Cane. Lead singer/guitar player, John Farley, had wanted to create a logo that aligned with the dark rock/metal sound of the band’s music, drawing inspiration from 60’s and 70’s “trippy” typography that you’d see on a Black Sabbath flyer.

I came up with something based off of a mash up of letterhead fonts, adding ornaments and intertwined parts of letters to create a fluid logo lockup. This logo was really fun, and the band was super excited when they saw the final logo.
